Represented the Great State of Iowa in the
2011 America's Finest Parade of Tribute-Honor
September 17th, 2011 in Minneapolis, MN
The cadets of the Abraham Lincoln High School Air Force Junior ROTC Drill Teams, Rifle Teams and Color Guards have once again proudly represented their school and community by successfully defending the title of National Champion during the V-F-W National Championship Drill Competition in Reno, Nevada this summer. The National Championship was earned after the teams took first and third nationally in both the exhibition rifle and exhibition color guard events, second nationally in the drill team event and two second-place finishes, as well as placement in other events. The teams are led and coached by Master Sergeant Von Cook

Since the early 1900's, Abraham Lincoln High School AFJROTC has been exemplary
in it's representation of the Great State of Iowa in many local and national
competitions and appearances.
For that reason, they were selected to represent the Great State of Iowa in the
2011 America's Finest Festival Tribute-Honor, Minneapolis, Minnesota honoring
America's Fallen Heroes, Military, Veterans, Firefighters, Law Enforcement
Officers, and EMS
